Hello, my name is Charlotte. I am looking for a kind, dependable, and knowledgeable part-time caregiver or senior companion to support my parents in their home in Bass River, Nova Scotia.
My father is living with dementia, middle stage, and my mother would benefit from practical guidance and hands-on support as she learns how best to respond to his changing needs. We are looking for someone who is patient, calm, respectful, resourceful, and comfortable working with older adults.
A key part of this role will be helping my mother feel supported, help arrange things that they need, and other practical supports. The caregiver should also be willing to help my mother arrange appointments, keep track of important dates, make phone calls when needed, and follow up with service providers.
