Fort Nelson School District 81Leadership OpportunityDistrict Vice Principal of Indigenous Education Reporting to the Superintendent, the District Vice-Principal of Indigenous Education is the District’s Indigenous Education lead, supporting the success of all Indigenous learners. Responsibilities will include: Leading, creating, and implementing programming to meet the requirements of the Indigenous Education Targeted Funding Policy and Form 1701 Instruction, including: working with local First Nations and other Indigenous communities to develop and implement language and culture programs in schools; academic and social-emotional supports; creating opportunities for Indigenous students to have voice, agency, and leadership; and, providing leadership, direction, and support to the District's Indigenous Education staff.Work closely with local First Nations on any matter relating to the distinct languages, cultures, customs, protocols, traditions, practices, or history of the local First ...
