District Indigenous School Social Worker/SEL Specialist

Position Description

School District 60 Indigenous Education Centre is looking for a compassionate, dedicated school social worker to assist in addressing the emotional and social well‑being of students. This position runs from September 1, 2026 to June 30, 2027, is eight hours per day five days a week (total 40 hours per week), and is 0.83 FTE. The annual salary will be between $60,861 and $76,076 depending on education and experience. This is an exempt position and is not part of a union.

Key Duties

• Provide information to outside support services to assist students with economic, emotional, or physical issues.
• Assist at‑risk students or students with disabilities.
• Communicate with parents, teachers, and administrators to understand students’ challenges.
