Early Childhood Educator (ECE)

School District No. 22 (Vernon) is currently accepting applications for an Early Childhood Educator (ECE) to support our early learning care facilities. This position is 29 hours per week, 10 month position. Anticipated shifts are Mon, Wed, Thurs & Fri from 7:00 a.m. - 8:30 a.m. & 2:00 p.m. - 5:45 p.m. and Tues 7:00 a.m. - 11:30 a.m. & 2:00 p.m. - 5:30 p.m.

Required Education and Experience

• Grade 12 plus the successful completion of a basic early childhood education training program recognized by the ECE Registry.
• Current Early Childhood Educator's Certificate to Practice from the BC government's ECE Registry.
• One year of recent experience working as an ECE in an early learning or child care setting, inclusive of 500 hours of work experience performed under the supervision of a Canadian certified ECE. Equivalent experience working with school‑aged children may be considered.
