Director of Justice Services

The Director of Justice Services (DOJS) contributes to the success of the Thunder Bay Indigenous Friendship Centre (TBIFC) in their role of the Management team by effectively planning, organizing, staffing, leading, and managing Justice Program services and activities, in accordance with all relevant policies and procedures.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Preferred Community College, University Degree or equivalent in Social Services and/or a minimum of 5 years work and/or supervisory experience in a social justice services environment.
• Demonstrated administrative management with the ability to supervise.
• Knowledge of the judicial system, Criminal Code, and other related federal and provincial statutes.
• Knowledge of sentencing principles and restorative justice principles.
• Experience in Restorative Justice and Conflict Resolution is an asset.
