Director of Economic Development

Position Summary

Under the supervision of the Executive Director and in collaboration with the Grand Chiefs Office, this position is responsible for implementing economic development initiatives to enhance economic ventures for First Nations. This includes leading the development of a comprehensive economic strategy for the Assembly of Manitoba Chiefs to advance First Nations priorities, strengthen economic sovereignty, identify investment opportunities, and support sustainable, long‑term growth through the following key activities.

• Research, identify, and assess economic development opportunities that align with AMC priorities.
• Support the development, implementation, and monitoring of economic development plans and strategies.
