About the Role:
Reporting to the VP, Payroll & Benefits, the Director of Payroll and Benefits leads the strategy, administration, and compliance of all payroll and employee benefits programs. This role ensures accurate, timely payroll processing while designing competitive, cost‑effective benefits that support employee well‑being and organizational goals.
Your Focus in this Role:
Payroll Leadership
- Oversee end‑to‑end payroll operations for all employees (province/multi‑state)
- Ensure accurate and timely payroll processing, including wages, bonuses, commissions, and deductions
- Maintain compliance with federal, provincial/state, and local payroll regulations and tax laws
- Manage payroll systems, audits, reporting, and reconciliations
- Lead payroll‑related year‑end activities (e.g., tax forms such as T4s, W‑2s)
- Develop and implement payroll policies, controls, and process improvements
