1. Incoming Inspection & Verification Perform incoming inspection of raw materials, bought‑out parts, machined components, and assemblies
Verify parts against: Engineering drawings
Purchase order requirements
Customer specifications
Aerospace standards (AS/EN/ISO) Conduct dimensional, visual, and functional inspections
Use precision measuring instruments (micrometre, vernier, height gauge, CMM reports, special gauges) 2. Documentation Review Review and verify supplier documents such as: Certificate of Conformance (CoC/CoA)
Material Test Reports (MTR)
Heat treatment certificates
Surface treatment and special process certificates
FAIR (First Article Inspection Report – AS) Ensure traceability of material and parts (batch, lot, heat number)
Validate compliance with drawing revision and specification version 3. Non‑Conformance Control Identify, document, and segregate Non‑Conforming Material (NCR)
