Diagnostic Sonographer I – Grande Prairie Regional Hospital, Alberta Health Services.

Responsibilities

• Prepare the patient for examination, review patient history, and explain procedures.
• Obtain high-quality ultrasound images and perform informed initial actions to resolve abnormal findings.
• Assist radiologists, cardiologists, perinatologists, and other medical staff with special procedures as required.
• Ensure a high level of patient care and safety while performing diagnostic sonography services.
• Maintain accurate documentation and compliance with departmental and regulatory standards.

Required Qualifications

• Completion of an extended diploma from an accredited ultrasound program or certification in Diagnostic Sonography from an accredited program.
