Responsibilities
- Monitor system performance and identify problems; respond promptly to user-reported errors.
- Protect the database against threats or unauthorized access.
- Ensure regular backups and recoverability in case of data loss.
- Report on usage and performance metrics; recommend changes to maintain or improve security and reliability.
- Regularly communicate with IT project managers and database programmers.
- Design and maintain databases for front-end and back-end users.
- Extract and/or load data as required.
- Implement cyber security measures and ensure compliance with security policies.
- Keep hardware and software up to date.
- Validate data quality and integrity.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in computer technology or a related field; advanced MCDBA or MCSD for .NET is advantageous.
