Customer Service Support Specialist (Payroll)

Summary About the Position: This position is with U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Mission Support Battalion with a duty station location of Alexandria, VA. Responsibilities Technical expert and principal advisor in all aspects of the administration of an effective program. Reviews and interprets a wide range of payroll law, policy, regulation, directive, and DCPS Payroll Office Advisory Releases, regarding the payroll systems and procedures. Reviews, verifies, and processes a variety of payroll and time and attendance data impacting pay, electronic fund transfer (EFT), payroll deposits, leave, taxes, benefits, other deductions, and master employee record (MER) information. Interfaces verbally and on-line with DFAS payroll technicians, to resolve payroll issues such as missing time, leave conversion, special pay, or miscellaneous inquiries.
