Background

The incumbent will be responsible to provide families of children and youth the greatest opportunity to rediscover their power to make family decisions and reconcile to the strengths of the family within Indigenous framework. This framework includes gathering the people in their support network, provide programming and support in accordance with the family’s needs and reflective of Ma Mama Wi Chi Itata Centre’s philosophy.

Qualifications

• Post‑secondary education in the area of Human Services or acceptable equivalent/related experience.
• Working knowledge of the Child Welfare Legislation and Standards.
• Thorough understanding of the Family Group Conference model.
• Understanding of and ability to promote culturally sensitive care for children.
