Opportunity Description
Support mental health recovery as a Crisis Support Worker with CMHC. Engage directly with clients in crisis, advocate for needs, and provide stabilization and recovery planning in a short-term residential program.
As a Crisis Support Worker, you will report to the Program Supervisor, using your skills to help those facing mental health and addiction crises. Collaborating with justice and health partners, you will advocate, assess, and connect clients to necessary services, ensuring a supportive environment around the clock.
Key Responsibilities:
• Administer naloxone and complete related training
• Provide crisis support and counseling to clients
• Develop and implement person-centered service plans
• Collaborate with community partners for client reintegration
• Maintain accurate records as per agency standards
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in a relevant field
• At least 3 years of crisis management experience
