Opportunity Description
Crisis Shelter Associate Help break the cycle of violence and assist survivors in rebuilding their lives by becoming part of the Violence Intervention Program (https://ofoinc.org/find-program/violence-intervention-program) team. Though our emergency shelter, you will offer compassion and hope to adult and child victims of domestic violence as they transition to a life free from abuse. As Crisis Shelter Associate you will:
+ Maintain a safe, secure, comfortable environment by overseeing shelter activities and organizing self-care and group events
+ Answer the domestic violence/sexual assault hotline
+ Provide crisis counseling, safety planning, and information/referrals to residents and callers on the hotline
+ Coordinate intake into the shelter
+ Accompany victims to hospitals and police stations
+ Assist with case management

+ Part-time position works 16 hours...
