Position: Counsellor II (Part‑time, Regular Schedule)
About the Role
The Counsellor II provides evidence‑based, client‑centered counseling to individuals navigating a wide range of personal and workplace challenges, including stress, mental health concerns, life transitions, relationship or family issues, and workplace‑related trauma. The role affords clinical autonomy while integrating within TELUS Health’s supportive network of professionals and resources.
Responsibilities
- Provide evidence‑based therapy both in person and digitally from the Halifax office, using solution‑focused, brief, and longer‑term modalities customized to each client’s needs and goals.
- Support clients through the Employee Assistance Program (EAP) and Total Mental Health (TMH) programs, addressing complex presentations such as mental health disorders, addictions, relationship concerns, and workplace stress.
