As a dedicated counsellor, you will engage with students individually and in groups, collaborating with families and agencies to bolster development and well-being. Contributing culturally relevant programs and facilitating referrals will be essential in fostering student independence.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide counselling for individuals and groups
• Collaborate on academic achievement strategies
• Mentor students regarding career pathways
• Facilitate access to mental health resources
• Attend and participate in school events and committees
Requirements:
• Preferred B.C. Teacher Certification
• Master’s level education in counselling or psychology
• Experience in First Nations settings
• Training in trauma-informed practices
