Overview

The Foothills Medical Center Simulation Consultant provides leadership in the eSIM Provincial Simulation Program and is part of the Provincial Patient Safety team. Simulation touches all aspects of patient care delivery, including teamwork, communications, resource management, occupational risks, human factors, research and quality improvement. A successful Simulation Consultant must have an understanding of all of these aspects as well as a high level of clinical expertise. The role collaborates with individuals who have external expertise and facilitates the integration of this expertise into simulation education, research and development. The position is based out of Foothills Medical Center and may require travel throughout the Calgary Zone and provincially as needed.
