Opportunity Description
Take your mechanic skills to the next level as a Construction Equipment Mechanic at the Equipment Yard in Transcona. Responsibilities include maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs of construction tools and equipment.
This role, reporting to the Equipment Manager, requires 3–5+ years of relevant mechanic experience. You will work with a variety of construction tools, perform both routine maintenance and repairs, and manage parts ordering and inventory control. Strong time-management skills and attention to detail are essential for success.
Key Responsibilities:
• Perform diagnostics and repairs on construction tools
• Repair or replace parts and manage third-party providers
• Source and order needed parts efficiently
• Conduct daily inspections of tools and equipment
• Maintain inventory of tools and materials
Requirements:
• 3–5+ years of mechanic experience preferred
• Red Seal certification is a plus
• Familiarity with small engines and power tools
