Part Time Compounding Pharmacy Technician
Job Description
Assist pharmacists by performing technical functions and supporting professional functions to provide pharmaceutical services to patients, staff, and physicians. This role operates under the supervision of the Pharmacist-on-duty.
Responsibilities
+ Prepare parenteral products, such as IV, IVPB’s, and TPN solutions, in compliance with policies and procedures, ensuring adherence to organizational standards and USP 797, USP 800, and USP 795 regulations.
+ Process printed medication orders and stock medication requests as needed, including ambulance and code cart trays.
+ Answer telephone calls and respond to inquiries at the customer service window.
+ Replace returned medication to appropriate storage areas.
+ Monitor par levels, reorder, and restock controlled substances as required.
+ Act as a resource for fundamental pharmacy technicians.
