Provide crucial mental health support as a Community Psychiatrist with The Alex in Calgary. This part-time role focuses on outpatient psychiatry and collaborative care for vulnerable populations.
In this position, you will engage in consultative outpatient psychiatry, collaborating with a multidisciplinary team at The Alex Community Health Clinic. Effectively work alongside family physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive mental healthcare is delivered. You’ll play a vital role in quality improvement initiatives while maintaining accountability for accurate billing practices.
Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct outpatient consultations for referred patients
• Collaborate with the healthcare team for comprehensive care
• Complete Mental Health Act forms when necessary
• Address acute concerns in outpatient settings
• Support organizational quality improvement initiatives
