Tasks

• Dispense prescribed pharmaceuticals to customers or other health care professionals.
• Advise customers on the selection and use of non‑prescription medication.
• Check prescriptions for proper dosage.
• Compensate prescribed pharmaceutical products by calculating, measuring and mixing the right quantities of drugs and other ingredients.
• Maintain medication profiles of customers, including registry of poisons, narcotic and controlled drugs.
• Manage the storage, packaging and distribution of medicinal products.
• Supervise and co‑ordinate the activities of other pharmacists, pharmacy assistants, pharmacy technicians and other staff.
