Claims Administrator (Freight Forwarding)

What we’re looking for

• 1-3 years of experience in the claims/insurance industry.
• Knowledge of reviewing and creating contracts is required.
• Advanced MS Excel, communication, attention to detail and analytical skills.
• Freight forwarding experience is a plus but not required.

What you’ll be doing

• Investigate claims to ascertain the validity and extent of company liability.
• Process freight and property claims for which the company is liable and submit claims to head office for settlement or negotiate settlement with the claimant and authorize payment.
• Communicate with customers, insurance companies, surveyors, and others regarding claim status and claim-related matters.
• Track and maintain records of legal cases and claims to evaluate their relevance.
• Keep current on industry regulations and trends.
