Civil Engineer

Division Roads and Highways Location Pretoria REPORTS TO Section Manager and Function Manager PRIMARY POSITION PURPOSE SMEC is looking to appoint a Civil Engineer to provide engineering design and drafting services, prepare project documentation, and deliver appropriate technical support as required. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Responsible for engineering design and modelling aspects within the Pretoria Roads & Highways Function – from planning, conceptual design to detailed design and construction drawings, specifically for geometric- and stormwater design, related to roads projects. Develop increased design ability and quality. Draft technical reports of acceptable technical and presentational quality. Assist with supervising small teams (Technicians, Students, Draughtsmen, Graduates). Mentor Technicians, Graduate Technologists and/or Graduate Engineers in relevant software tools.
