Charge Technologist – Speciman Handling and Point of Care Testing – Laboratory – Temporary Full Time

Purpose Of Position

The Charge Technologist is responsible for the planning, organization, coordination, and control of a formally recognized laboratory unit/section (e.g., Clinical Chemistry, Hematology, Transfusion Medicine, Microbiology, Pathology, Point of Care Testing, Specimen Management) to ensure the delivery of safe, accurate, efficient, and fiscally responsible laboratory services.

The Charge Technologist performs laboratory testing as required and, under the direction of the Manager and/or Medical Director, directs the work of assigned staff, ensures quality standards are met, and manages operational and staffing requirements of the unit.
