Catholic Occasional Teachers

The Durham Catholic District School Board is currently recruiting new Catholic B Ed graduates and upcoming Catholic teacher candidates for the Occasional Teacher (OT) roster.

New graduates pending OCT certification, including candidates with an OCT Transitional Certificate Number, are welcome to apply!

Candidates are requested to complete a portfolio on ATE including a current Criminal Background Check with Vulnerable Sector, a Catholic pastoral letter, teaching evaluations (2), etc.

Interviews may be scheduled prior to September 2026.

Shortlisted candidates will be contacted directly with interview details.

NOTE: Previous applicants are not required to re‑apply for consideration.

Successful candidates will be added to our list for immediate assignment dispatch opportunities!

Long‑term (LTO) opportunities are also available. Permanent opportunities may be available.
