Key Responsibilities
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, or instructions to build or repair various items, including furniture, cabinets, doors, and windows
- Measure, cut, and shape wood, plywood, and wallboard using hand and power tools
- Install structures and fixtures, such as windows, frames, floorings, and trim, using carpenter's hand and power tools
- Inspect and replace damaged frameworks or other structures and fixtures
- Follow established safety rules and regulations and maintain a safe and clean work environment
- Collaborate with project managers, contractors, and other tradesmen to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget
- Maintain tools and equipment, and ensure they are in good working order
- Perform other related duties as assigned
- Completion of a carpentry apprenticeship program or equivalent training
