Building Manager

Responsible for the operation and management of complex science buildings. Single point responsibility for various Argonne Mission Support services: building access and infrastructure issues, engineering, project management, Rapid Response, sustainability, parking lots and grounds, custodial oversight, coordinating moves of materials and building exit inspections. Accountable for coordinating shutdown of building systems to minimize negative impact on operations. Coordination with ESH and some implementation of various facility safety responsibilities.

Coordinates operational and maintenance requirements and serves as building steward and as a point of contact, on behalf of occupants and management. Work includes approving work entry permits and clearances, controlling building access, coordinating building repairs, modifications, housekeeping, moves, participating in pre-bid and pre-constructions meetings and design reviews.
