Summary The Bureau of Labor Statistics measures labor market activity, working conditions, price changes, and productivity in the U.S. economy to support public and private decision making. The position is located in the Bureau of Labor Statistics, Office of Administration. Responsibilities Duties include, but are not limited to, the following: Providing oversight of and support for a full range of budget execution functions, including resolving funding issues related to accomplishing the BLS mission Planning, initiating, implementing, and negotiating the application of major budget and financial management programs and policies for BLS and analyzing any potential problems Developing, modifying, and monitoring the use of internal control systems to ensure that BLS resources are efficiently and effectively managed and coordinating resource planning, allocation, and usage Providing leadership and staff guidance to BLS offices on the establishment and administration of budget and financia...
