Opportunity Description
The Breastfeeding Peer Counselor manages the Enhanced Peer Counseling program and supervises day to day activities. Following the NYS DOH WIC Loving Support model, she ensures that the PC staff performs optimally and meets the program's needs. Routine quality assessments (QA) are performed on each PC to promote constant improvement. Work and coordination schedules are with the various WIC centers located in Suffolk County Collect and Manage participant data ensuring confidentiality at all times.
This position is grant-funded for a limited time through the WIC office and Suffolk County Department of Health Services.
Required Qualifications:
+ Associate's degree and one-year volunteer or work-related experience or High School diploma or equivalency with 2 years of volunteer or work experience.
+ Proficiency with windows-based software, including use of the internet and navigation with various browsers, and Microsoft Office proficiency, including Outloo...
