Enhance your biology knowledge as a Student Laboratory Assistant at UPEI. Work part-time, assisting in labs and marking for various biology courses in the academic year.
The University of Prince Edward Island is seeking students to fill up to 60 Student Laboratory Assistant positions. Successful candidates will assist in courses such as Microbiology, Anatomy, and Ecology while developing communication skills and a deeper understanding of biology. Positions require participation throughout the semester with a schedule of up to 4 hours weekly.
Key Responsibilities:
• Assist in biology labs and tutorials weekly
• Mark exams and assignments in selected courses
• Communicate effectively with students and faculty
• Attend mandatory WHMIS training if not certified
• Indicate preferences for lab assisting, marking, or both

• Must be a current UPEI student
