Opportunity Description
Become a vital support for Salus tenants as a Bilingual Community Developer in Ottawa. This full time, temporary position requires expertise in mental health, community development, and group programming.
In this six-month temporary role, you will help tenants with severe mental illness maintain successful tenancies through onsite support and group facilitation.
You’ll work alongside Salus’s Housing Coordinator and external partners to foster community ties and support individual needs effectively.
Your role is essential to ensuring a positive living experience for marginalized adults.
Key Responsibilities
- Facilitate recovery-based group programming and support
- Mediate conflicts and resolve issues for tenants
- Provide individualized support to enhance tenant well‑being
- Develop and maintain community partnerships
- Collaborate on tenants’ intervention plans and circles of care
