Big Sisters of BC Lower Mainland enables transformational mentoring relationships to inspire, ignite and unleash the power and potential of youth. Big Sisters core mentorship programs offer a safe space for self-identifying girls, non-binary, transgender and gender-diverse youth to work with caring mentors to realize their full potential. It takes just one stable, committed adult in a young person’s life to make a difference. By matching youth with adult volunteers in quality one-to-one and group mentoring relationships, Big Sisters ensure girls and gender-diverse youth can access the support they need to thrive.
In Metro Vancouver, 1 in 3 children have no trusted adult to turn to. As a Big Sister mentor, you’ll be matched one-on-one with a girl or gender-diverse youth (ages 7‑17), show up weekly and build the kind of relationship that shapes a life in your area.
