Audiologist - Intermittent

Summary This position is in Primary Care Service of the Martinsburg VAMC, with duties at the Fort Detrick Community Based Outpatient Clinic in Frederick, MD. The staff audiologist conducts full-range audiologic evaluations to determine type and degree of hearing loss, assesses need for amplification, predicts and measures amplification effectiveness, and provides rehabilitation and counseling for veterans with hearing loss. Responsibilities Major duties include but are not limited to: Uses a wide-rang of knowledge and skill in applying evidenced-based principles and methodologies of the practice of Audiology across the spectrum of adult patients. Develops coherent treatment strategies. Demonstrates knowledge of clinical Audiology services. Performs clinical Audiology services independently. Conducts assessments, provides treatment interventions. Provides consultation to other health care professionals. Completes documentation in an accurate and timely manner.
