Role Overview
We are seeking a highly motivated individual to join the Toronto based team of investment professionals. The Associate will play a key role in working with Directors and Managing Directors to source, analyze and execute private equity, fund and junior debt investments.
Responsibilities
- Assist in evaluating direct equity, fund investments, subordinated debt and special opportunities;
- Contribute to the planning and completion of due diligence;
- Own financial modelling, including building and sensitizing LBO models;
- Draft investment committee memos and materials;
- Assist in legal documentation negotiation and review;
- Monitor existing portfolio companies and prepare quarterly valuations;
- Build relationships with Private Equity, Growth Equity and Venture Capital Firms;
