**Academic Assistant Professor of Orthopaedic Surgery, Spine Surgery**

The Department of Orthopaedic Surgery at the University of Virginia is seeking candidates for a tenure eligible Assistant Professor position to start January 2027. This clinical faculty position is responsible for providing exceptional patient care in the management of spine conditions including traumatic conditions, congenital conditions, arthritic conditions and infectious conditions with a commitment to musculoskeletal research. Experience in the sub-specialized area of spine oncology is preferred. Qualified applicants must have demonstrated clinical expertise and the ability to perform quality basic scientific or clinical research. Candidates must have a MD and be board-eligible or board-certified as well as have completed a fellowship in orthopaedic surgery concentrating in the spine.
