Job Description
Assists an artillery gun crew and gun crew leader with a variety of tasks associated with artillery weapons and ammunition testing. Assists with transportation, emplacement, operation, and recovery of both towed and self-propelled artillery and mortar systems. Assists with artillery ammunition loading and firing procedures – both remote and manual firing. Follows SOPs and TMs for all processes and procedures. Assists with employing manual or mechanical techniques to set weapon elevation and azimuth. Assists with operation of Digital Fire Control System (DFCS).
