Opportunity Description
Key Responsibilities
- Acting as a permit holder, as recognized by the provincial regulator
- Supervise the completion of Heritage Resource Impact Assessments in Manitoba
- Conduct basic archaeological fieldwork tasks (pedestrian survey, test pitting, documentation, artifact analysis, report preparation)
- Supervise small crews of 2-6 people as they carry out archaeological fieldwork tasks and ensure their quality of work meets the methods and ethics set out in provincial regulations
- Work with the project management team to help coordinate fieldwork planning and logistics
- Communicate and work with Indigenous community groups
- Ensure adherence to health and safety policies and codes of conduct
