Key Areas of Responsibility

• Schedules transportation with carriers for regular planned deliveries to and from customers, warehouses, and plants.
• Takes constraints, such as maximum loads, available time slots, equipment pools, etc. into consideration prior to making arrangements.
• Independent resolution of unique changes, problems or opportunities provided by Clients, Customers, and Carriers.
• Ensures that setups are completed and data pertaining to carriers, routes, freights, rates and routes, vehicle types, constraints, schedules are entered correctly in ERP system.
• Initiates and coordinates emergency shipments as required.
• Works with carriers in finding shipment options when faced with changes in delivery times or locations.
• Follows up and resolves the more sensitive complaints and issues.
• Reviews daily Open Order and other reports to identify missed or delayed shipments.
