Overview

Reporting to the Controller, the Accountant ensures Balance Sheet Reconciliations are prepared accurately and timely, assists with monthly closing and reporting of the Company’s financial results, and supports tax compliance reporting for MacEwen Petroleum and related companies.

This is a full‑time permanent role based at our head office in Maxville, Ontario.

Responsibilities

• Prepare returns, analysis, and documentation for all direct and indirect taxes for MacEwen Petroleum Inc. and related companies.
• Partner with business departments to define, measure, analyze, and improve controls, reports, and tax‑related processes.
• Maintain and reconcile tax accounts for financial reporting purposes.
• Support management of tax audits and assessments by performing technical analysis and gathering documentation.
