2026/2027 Nehiyaw Pimatisiwin Cree Language and Culture Teacher

Edmonton Catholic Schools offers Nehiyaw Pimatisiwin Cree Language and Culture programming at six sites, serving over 800 students. We are now accepting applications for our Nehiyaw Pimatisiwin Cree Language and Culture program for the 2026/2027 school year. Applications are accepted and interviews are conducted for teaching positions throughout the calendar year. The successful candidate will demonstrate a knowledge and understanding of the Cree language and culture. With the support of a Cree Language Consultant, the successful candidate will offer practical strategies for building Indigenous perspectives into the curriculum, demonstrates approaches for teaching Indigenous learners, and are committed to building connections with Elders, Indigenous families, cultural instructors, and communities for a culturally relevant education.
